Three things you can look at
Personitech — I was the founding engineer on a platform that moved our customers’ paper forms onto devices. Java API, a schema I designed, offline-first handsets for technicians working where there is no signal, and an outage that taught me to instrument before guessing. Splitting the deployment up also more than tripled our AWS bill, which I would do differently now.
TuringSense — Six and a half years on real-time motion capture. When the Bluetooth plugin we depended on was abandoned, we wrote our own against the native Android API, and then spent weeks on the bug underneath it: two layers that each believed they knew the connection state, and a radio reconnecting without telling either. Co-inventor, second of seven, on US 12,198,243 B2.
AideyHD — An app for people with ADHD, in open beta on iOS and Android, built so that nothing about them leaves their own devices unless they turn sync on. I designed it, made the calls, and shipped it; the Swift and the Kotlin were both written with Claude Code.
Away from the keyboard
I cook for my church — about forty people most months, two hundred once a year. I also lead worship, run a care team rota, and play pickleball on a court painted onto a parking lot.
What I am looking for
